OMEGA Watches U.S. PGA Timekeeper


The Swiss watch brand, has signed a five-year contract to be the official timekeeper of the organization. The new partnership will be launched at the PGA Championship in 2011 at Atlanta Athletic Club, which begins on August 8 and continue until the centenary of the PGA in 2016.

The new agreement covers two of the most famous golf, the PGA Championship and the Ryder Cup, with a number of popular affiliate competitions. The undertaking by the manufacturer shows include advertising on television and sports marketing support to development efforts of PGA player of the account.

As official timekeeper for the PGA of America, the company will also offer time and support others in the Senior PGA Championship, PGA Championship and the Grand Slam of golf, and the holder of the official Ryder Cup 2012 2014. Sponsorship also provides the manufacturer presenting sponsor rights to specific events and the status of official timekeeper of the National Professional Championship.

It organizes the prestigious golf events, U.S. PGA also arrange for the representation and a system of accreditation for the 27 000 men and women PGA Professionals who work in clubs as a golf course managers and instructors on their roles.

OMEGA watch is also compatible with golf outside the United States, acting as main sponsor of the European Masters, the Mission Hills Golf World Cup and Dubai Desert Classic OMEGA watches. The list of brand ambassadors includes a number of stars of today's golf, as Sergio Garcia and Michelle Wie and one of the greatest of all time in the game, Greg Norman.

With a rich history in sports timing, Omega watches served as official timekeeper of the 24 Olympic Games since 1932. It has extended its agreement with the International Olympic Committee until 2020.
